Thank you for your interest in supporting the Mount Tom Community Fund.

Our MTCF short-term goal for Fall 2026 is raising $25,000 to get a donated 18’ x 72’ structure assembled by a contractor faster than it will take to build it using volunteer labor. We hope to get this vehicle shelter built, water tank installed, and electric work finished before the rainy season starts in preparation for the 2027 fire season. Upon building completion, Harrisburg Fire & Rescue will use it to stage support vehicles to protect our community.

MTCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible and contributions over $75 will receive an IRS compliant receipt within 30 days of processing.

All donations to the MTCF go directly toward the causes we support in our neighborhood. Mount Tom Community Fund does not have any paid employees and relies on volunteers from our community to help us reach our goals.

Building a Safer Future for Mount Tom

Mount Tom Community Fund is laying the foundation for a local fire station. Initially we are funding the assembly of a donated 18’ x 72’ structure that will provide shelter for fire apparatus provided by Harrisburg Fire & Rescue, finishing the needed electrical work, and installing a water tank capable of refilling a fire truck if needed.

Over the long term, our goal is to pursue funding to construct a proper, staffed, year-round fire and emergency substation to support our surrounding community with reduced response time for fire and health emergencies.

Preparing Together

Mount Tom residents are actively working to become the first FireWise community in Linn County, Oregon, reducing risk at the property level and across the community. These efforts include vegetation management, shared learning, and ongoing coordination among neighbors.

Preparedness is not a single step. It is a continued commitment that strengthens safety over time and supports the future fire station.

A Local Fire Station for Mount Tom

A fire station in Mount Tom will provide faster response, support wildfire suppression, and create a base for equipment and coordination.

Today, emergency response can be delayed due to distance and terrain. A local station will help close that gap and provide a level of protection that the community does not currently have.

Mount Tom Community Fund is seeking the resources needed to move this project forward, from planning through construction.
