Building Safety, Access, and Resilience on Mount Tom
As wildfire risk increases, the Mount Tom community is actively adapting, with neighbors playing a growing role in protecting homes, supporting one another, and caring for the watershed, wildlife, and surrounding forests.
The Mount Tom Community Fund’s goals are to facilitate the construction of a permanent fire sub-station serving our neighborhood and surrounding areas along with providing wildfire education, risk mitigation, and disaster preparedness to our community.

Community Safety in Action
Mount Tom Community Fund is working alongside fire service partners to strengthen emergency response and wildfire preparedness across our community. A dedicated local response vehicle handled approximately 70 calls last year, reflecting both the need for service and the importance of building local capacity.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed during emergency activity through tools such as the PulsePoint app and local radio scanner access.
Building Toward Local Protection
These efforts are part of a larger goal to improve response times and strengthen safety through the development of a local fire station. Community participation and support continue to move this work forward. Please join us and get involved locally to protect the great state of Oregon.
